AI Day 2026: AI in the Real World – from Hype to Impact
AI is moving beyond individual experiments and pilot projects. But how can industrial companies turn its potential into scalable, trustworthy solutions for engineering? At AI Day 2026, experts from industry and research explore how AI is reshaping engineering processes, accelerating simulation and opening new opportunities for technological sovereignty. Discover what it takes to move from promising AI applications to lasting industrial value.
Artificial intelligence is changing not only the tools engineers use, but also the way products are developed, data is connected and decisions are made. Yet important questions remain: How can companies redesign engineering processes around AI? Can open-source models provide a credible alternative to dominant global AI platforms? And what does it take to make AI applications reliable enough for industrial use?
The event wil be held online and in English language.
At AI Day 2026, powered by it’s OWL and prostep ivip, four presentations address these challenges from different perspectives. Dentsu Soken and Fraunhofer IEM introduce a new model for collaborative, AI-enabled engineering. LINAGORA explores the potential of open-source and sovereign AI for European industry. A presentation on Siemens Simcenter physicsAI demonstrates how deep learning can reduce simulation times from hours to seconds. The final session examines why isolated AI pilots often fail to scale and how connected, semantically enriched engineering data can provide a foundation for trustworthy industrial AI.
