it’s OWL initiative ‘Weiterbildung 4.OWL’ launches the Next Learning Hub OWL
After three years of joint work, the Next Learning Hub developed by the “Weiterbildung 4.OWL” project is now available. The Next Learning Hub enables all interested parties from the region to find and book suitable learning opportunities and, in the case of digital offerings, to take advantage of them directly on the platform. It is also easy to deliver them to your own learning management system. The Next Learning Hub also gives companies that have their own learning offers the opportunity to distribute them without their own store and learning management infrastructure. The project partners Fraunhofer IEM, Paderborn University, Magh und Boppert, Phoenix Contact and Unity AG, under the coordination of OWL GmbH, have thus followed the approach of joining forces from OWL and developing innovations for high-quality education. You can try out the new tools for yourself here.
The Next Learning Hub is also linked to two innovative tools that support companies in their search for and creation of tailored, high-quality further training courses.
Next Learning Finder: Needs assessment made easy
With the Next Learning Finder, companies can systematically and guidedly record the training needs of their employees. Using a questioning process, users provide all essential and possible additional information on the topic, framework data and objectives of the training they are looking for and are referred to possible providers in the region. Alternatively, users can independently approach providers of further education courses with the collected and clearly structured information and go directly to the appropriate learning offer. This simplifies the often time-consuming process of determining needs and making arrangements and leads to a faster identification of the right offer. The Next Learning Creator supports users in designing high-quality didactic learning opportunities. The framework data and content of the learning offer can be freely collected in a clearly designed environment before the structuring and detailed didactic planning begins.
Didactic support and adaptation
The tool offers extensive support and further information at every step. For example, methods based on the previously specified learning objective levels are suggested for each learning unit. This means that each individual element is optimally tailored to the learners and their needs. Users receive a clearly structured and didactically high-quality concept of their learning offer, which is analyzed as a whole by the tool in the final step so that final optimizations can be made. This means that even specialist staff without a didactic background are able to design high-quality learning opportunities and share their knowledge with colleagues, for example.
Exchange platform for further training of the future
The results will also be presented by the project team at the 4.OWL training dialog on 28 August at Phoenix Contact(click here to register). Here you will have the opportunity to test the tools in the company of those responsible. There will also be an exciting program about innovations in the field of further training from OWL and plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas.
