Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Ruhr-OWL
Digital transformation is changing products and business models, production processes, working conditions and the job profiles of employees in companies. This change poses major challenges for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular to ensure their competitiveness. The ‘Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Ruhr-OWL’ offers needs-based support. Special focus is placed on the areas of digital strategy, platform economy, intelligent systems and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
Companies can find out about new technologies and their areas of application at events, demonstration centres and trend radars. Employees can qualify for new technologies through self-learning programmes via a learning platform and modular training courses. SMEs are supported in developing digital strategies and concepts for the use of digitalisation solutions. They can introduce applications and new technologies in transfer projects and learn from other companies in industry circles and mentoring formats. The SME Digital Centre Ruhr-OWL takes the successful collaboration with the Ruhr region, which was initiated in 2015 as part of ‘Digital in NRW’, to a new level.
