Software-based support for system safety (SUSI)
In companies, it is not only the security of office IT that is important, but also the security of production facilities. A risk assessment is necessary in order to evaluate the safety of systems. However, like the certification of safety standards, this is usually carried out manually and is therefore time-consuming and cost-intensive.
The project “Software-based support for security risk assessments in industry” is working on software-based support for risk assessment and the certification of components. Thanks to the increased automation, the project promises to relieve specialists of routine tasks and speed up decision-making with regard to safety. Weidmüller, Comma Soft and rt-solutions are working together with OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts on the project.
